Scheduled

On Feb. 9th I will be meeting with Dr. Guyton at Emory to set up the myectomy. I have to have a cardiac cath before surgery so it will probably be scheduled then as well.

  13. Donna, I found your blog when you left a comment on mine for OWOH. I'm in Georgia too. Emory is a wonderful hospital as you probably know so you're in good hands. A former boss of mine's husband had a heart transplant there some years ago and is doing wonderfully. I know it must be very scary though. If you need anything, please email me. I'm just south of the airport.

  25. My thoughts will be with you as well as you undergo your surgery. I used to be so scared of even the thought of surgery and within the past year was forced to undergo both a c-section and gall bladder removal. It's not fun, but I think about the pain and even death I could have had to deal with and the surgery is the more pleasant option. Just be strong and trust that the doctors know what they are doing. This is what my husband told me - and it doesn't always work - but it's worth a try. :)

  27. You entered my OWOH contest for my Nature Keeper. You didn't leave a name for her. So, please let me know your horse's name. Maybe that would be a good one for my doll. I wanted the winner to be the one to name her. I was DX with PAD two years ago. I went through all the testing and have been found to have a mild case. I was quite a runner and mountain trail hiker in my time... My husband is a surgical nurse. He is always the one to say that "there is nothing to worry about," "... all the advances that are being made..." You know that kind of stuff. It's just getting through it. I always made myself little gifts ready for when I got through with each procedure. I would think about it when I was being prepped. Like what those really great bedsheets were going to be like when I got home. Oh, well, anything to make it easier. I wish you moments of joy and days ease. Peace. Brianne.
